HGV training
Category C, Category C+E and Driver CPC from one base. This page compares the routes. It does not confirm eligibility, a price or a course length.
Licence comparison
Three routes. Each has its own page, so this overview stays a comparison rather than a second copy of the course detail.
| Route | What it covers | Usual starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Category C | Rigid goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes. | Usually a category B car licence, then the medical and theory steps for a lorry test. |
| Category C+E | Articulated lorries and drawbar combinations. | Category C is the usual entitlement held before this training. |
| Driver CPC | A professional qualification for lorry and bus drivers. Not a vehicle category. | Depends on whether the driver needs initial or periodic CPC. |

Questions
What is the difference between Category C and Category C+E?
Category C is the rigid lorry entitlement. Category C+E adds a trailer, for articulated lorries and drawbar outfits. C+E training normally follows Category C.
Is Driver CPC the same as an HGV licence?
No. Category C and Category C+E are vehicle entitlements. Driver CPC is a professional qualification for drivers who need a Driver Qualification Card.
Can this page tell me if I am eligible?
No. It is general guidance. The provider checks the licence you hold when you enquire. Nothing here confirms that a particular person qualifies.
Why is there no price list?
Because a fee has not been supplied for this demonstration, and one should not be invented. Ask for a quote for the training you need.
Talk through the right route
